So time to start blogging again, years of not doing it, I’ll slowly work up again so it will probably be a slow ramp up. I’ve had a rather comfortable life the last few years so let myself slip, as most of us are experiencing now, that is no longer the case so I feel like starting to blog again now is a good time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As a software engineer, job security is often a top priority. After all, it’s a highly competitive industry, and there’s always someone else who’s willing to do the same job for less money. This has led many software engineers to prioritize staying in a job that may not be ideal, but at least it’s stable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For years, I fell into this trap. I had a well-paying job, and I was afraid to leave it. I didn’t want to risk my financial stability, even though I was starting to doubt my job safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
England’s tech industry is growing rapidly, and there are many opportunities for software engineers. However, the cost of living in England is high, which makes it challenging to live comfortably on a software engineer’s salary. This led me to reconsider my priorities and think about what was truly important to me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I realized that I wanted to get back out there and explore new opportunities. I wanted to work on projects that excited me and challenged me. I wanted to be part of a team that shared my passion for technology and innovation. Most importantly, I wanted to feel fulfilled in my career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So, I took the plunge and started applying for jobs. I updated my resume and created a portfolio to showcase my skills and experience. I reached out to my network to see if they knew of any job openings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To my surprise, I received several offers within days. I was thrilled to see that my skills were in demand, and I had options to choose from.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Looking back, I wish I hadn’t waited so long to make the change. I realized that job security isn’t everything, and it’s okay to take risks and pursue your passions. As software engineers, we have a valuable skill set that’s always in demand. It’s up to us to decide how we want to use that skill set and what kind of work we want to do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
